Sorry to those that have been visiting the site looking for news on the space invaders models I promised to give away, Ive had a bad couple of weeks of rsi in my modelling hand (ranging from swollen knuckles to strained wrist) and its been giving me a lot of issues. Ive got myself a wrist strap to alleviate the pain some what but its really just going to take time to heal, I have in the mean time been planning to try and make the release of these models worth while by including more of the cast of the space invaders and some of my old models I built back in my student days that I dont think suck too bad. Browsing the older posts should give you a idea of whats going to be uploaded in the near future on Blendswap.

In the mean time I’m loving the progress that’s been made in Blender 2.6 the sound objects, something I thought already existed in the 3d package system but this makes the way we handle sound much more interesting, imagine adding sounds to shoes and having a character walk out their steps instead of adding a sound effect afterwards and hoping it matches! Or just basic cityscape sound effects whilst you travel through a busy market, its really going to be a lot of fun exploring this new setup.
