I have watched this in the past but I recently saw one of my favourite animators post this on his site so I thought it would be good to share the video
and his site (http://blog.pigeonimpossible.com
This talk is a wonderful way to relax your mind on your ideas, I have in the past used my note pad as my way to store ideas out of my head (so I can just wipe it out and not stress on it), the speaker in the video came up with a similar idea and went beyond that, really good for all of us looking for inspiration and relieving the stress that comes with it.
Yup a friend recently got me back into trying animation, whilst I have been planning on doing some for my main projects, these were more for quick creation and to give me something to work on without having to plan ahead too much. So far after a couple of hours I came up with 3 videos of the same scene showing the steps I took getting there, I’m posting the link to my vimeo account as having it all transferred from Vimeo to Vodpod then back to WordPress is a hassle. (Although I will get round to uploading them that way eventually)
1st Step = http://vimeo.com/12612614
2nd Step = http://vimeo.com/12613635
3rd Step = http://vimeo.com/12620361
Please read the notes I leave for the videos and leave comments, and Im off back to work.
I have put together a Portfolio site to show off my work in a more professional manner, if you are interested stop by CGDEN.com.
Its a wip (but then again its always going to be a wip), so just for now ta ta!
BTW the 3DS IS SWEEEET! So cant wait to get my hands on one.
Now its not known by many but I have a love of user interface interaction, I have in my spare time tinkered with designs to help improve the way we interact with computers of various forms. Some I design whilst on the bus when commuting from my home to my parents, others are when I see something inspirational. I am unfortunately currently cannot make any of these ideas come to life except in the virtual world or on paper, so for now I will be posting some of my tech ideas here for people to look over and hopefully get the word out to those interested in working with me to make these products real.
Today I saw a nice demonstration from the people who were responsible for the UI displayed in the Minority Report. Here is the show in question =
Later on this week Ill start to scan in some of the ideas I have had in the past to do with UI and designs for Robotics and human interfaces. Some borrow heavily from existing technology, but the ideas I come up with is to use technology that is available now to try and replicate things we see in films like the Minority report or Iron man or even animations like Dennō Coil (a personal favourite of mine).
